Advertising in the Age of AI and Platforms:
Transparency, Creativity, and Consumer Experience
Call for Papers
The Korean Academic Society of Advertising (KAS) is pleased to announce the 2026 KAS × NCCU Global Advertising Conference in Taipei, Taiwan, co-hosted with the College of Communication, National Chengchi University. Building on our ongoing commitment to international academic exchange through the annual Global Colloquium, this year we are expanding overseas to bring together advertising researchers from diverse regions around the world.
Under the overarching theme of "Advertising in the Age of AI and Platforms: Transparency, Creativity, and Consumer Experience," this conference will broadly address key research topics in advertising, including AI-driven advertising, platform advertising transparency, generative AI and advertising creativity, recommendation systems and consumer experience, and personalization and privacy.
The conference will feature a keynote address by Appier—Taiwan’s first unicorn company and a leader in AI-powered advertising and marketing—along with multiple research paper presentation sessions and panel discussions. Notably, the panel discussion will bring together scholars representing KAS, the American Academy of Advertising (AAA), the European Advertising Academy (EAA), and the International Communication Association (ICA) for an in-depth dialogue on the future directions of advertising research and opportunities for scholarly collaboration in the era of AI and platform transformation.
We are dedicated to making this a meaningful international conference where participants can engage with active researchers and practitioners from abroad, explore the latest trends in global advertising research, and advance their own scholarly work. We sincerely ask for your interest and participations.

3. Important Dates
• Submission Deadline (Application Form & Extended Abstract): May 13, 2026
• Notification of Acceptance: May 27, 2026
• Final Paper Submission Deadline: June 22, 2026
4. Submission Guidelines
Applicants are required to submit the following two separate files to the conference email by the deadline (May 13, 2026).
File 1. Cover Page (Application Form)
• Complete the application form with paper title, author name(s), affiliation(s), and contact information.
File 2. Extended Abstract
• Must not contain any author-identifying information.
• Content: Research objectives, theoretical background, research questions and/or hypotheses, methodology, key findings (expected results are acceptable), academic and practical implications, and key references.
• Length: 1,000–1,500 words (excluding references, tables, and figures)
5. Final Paper Submission
Authors of accepted papers are required to submit the final manuscript to the conference email by June 22, 2026.
Submission Format:
• Full papers are strongly encouraged; extended abstracts are also accepted.
• If submitting an extended abstract as the final submission, it must include actual completed research findings.
• Extended Abstract length: 1,000–1,500 words (excluding references, tables, and figures)

6. Review Process
• Review Method: Double-Blind Peer Review
• To ensure blind review, please remove all author-identifying information from the manuscript body, headers/footers, file name, and document properties.
• Review is conducted by a dedicated Review Committee jointly organized by the KAS and NCCU Organizing Committees.
7. Registration Fees
• Details regarding registration fees and benefits for presenters will be announced at a later date.
